Idk if you guys are aware but a fan asked NingNing on Weverse to sing RUN (that one pre-debut song she did) as a YouTube content but without AE NingNing. NingNing responded to that fan saying that there were no more AE.

When I tell you I fell to my knees. Like what does she mean by no more AE?? Is sm completely scrapping that concept? Are they gone for good?? Idk but to me this news is both shocking and devastating. The AE concept might have been divisive, but it was essentially Aespa’s identity. It set them apart from other girl groups and made them seem incredibly innovative.

If it’s really the case, I find it to be such a shame. Their concept absolutely worked for them and I really feel like it’s what made them unique. It’s like a big chunk of their identity has been erased just like that. I really hope it’s a misunderstanding, but seeing how they sidelined this aspect of their concept this year, it’s making me wonder if this change is indeed happening.
